The use of AI technology to create fake money transfer receipts has increased the need to be careful not to be scammed, according to Wave Money.

Wave Money has warned that fraud can occur by forging online money transfer receipts.

“Fraudsters are using AI technology to forge payment records. They are using these fake transfer records to display in money transfers and payments to commit fraud. Therefore, do not fully trust such payment receipts and screenshots,” Wave Money warned.

Wave Money said that every time receiving money transfers, it is needed to check the transaction history in the account before confirming.

“Every time receiving a money transfer, please check the transaction history and the amount in the account. This is the most effective way to avoid fake money transfers and fraud. Protect your money by checking and verifying it. If the users suspect financial fraud, please contact the relevant banks or mobile financial service centers. Wave Money users are encouraged to contact Wave Money’s call-center number in a timely manner if they encounter any financial fraud risks,” Wave Money informed.

As technology advances, good and bad come with it. If a fake money transfer receipt is made with AI, you will see the AI Logo at the bottom, and there are websites that hide this logo, so be very careful, according to social network users.

“If people are busy, they probably won’t even think about looking at the logo. If you notice the logo, you’ll know. But if the fraudsters use the AI logos that hide the background, you won’t know it’s fake. The best thing to do is to check your own money transfer history. It’s best to ask the person who sent the money, the name of the person who sent it, and when the money was transferred, and then check your own history,” said a money transfer operator.

The Bangkok Post reported recently that online fraudsters on the Thai-Myanmar border are also using AI to commit fraud.
