The National Defence and Security Council (NDSC) announced on July 31 that it has formed the Nay Pyi Taw Council, the Region and State Governments and Leading Groups for Self-Administered Zones.
The NDSC announced that the Nay Pyi Taw Council, the Region and State Governments and Leading Groups for the Self-Administered Regions and the Self-Administered Zones, which were established by the State Administration Council under Article 419 of the Constitution, respectively, have been further assigned under Article 427, Sub-section (b) of the Constitution.
The governments and leading bodies that the National Defence and Security Council has continued to form and assign responsibilities to are the Nay Pyi Taw Council, the Kachin State Government, the Kayah State Government, the Kayin State Government, the Tanintharyi Region Government, the Magway Region Government, the Mandalay Region Government, the Yangon Region Government and the Shan State Government, the Naga Self-Administered Zone, the Danu Self-Administered Zone, the Pa-O Self-Administered Zone, the Palaung Self-Administered Zone, the Kokang Self-Administered Zone and the “Wa” Self-Administered Zone.
The following regional or state governments that have been formed by the National Defence and Security Council are as per following: Dr. Wong Hsum Thang as the Chief Minister of Chin State, Colonel Khin Maung Htwe as the Minister for Security and Border Affairs, U Win Zaw Oo as the Minister for Social Affairs, U Nay Lin Aung as the Minister for Transport, and U Sein Tun Hla as the Minister for Ethnic Affairs; U Myat Kyaw as the Chief Minister of Sagaing Region, Colonel Win Tin Soe as the Minister for Security and Border Affairs, Daw Yee Yee Than as the Minister for Economic Affairs, U Tin Than Win as the Minister for Natural Resources, U Nyunt Win Aung as the Minister for Social Affairs, and U Khin Maung Aye as the Minister for Transport.
Similarly, the Bago Region Government has assigned U Myo Swe Win as the Chief Minister, Colonel Nyi Lan Cho as the Minister for Security and Border Affairs, U Tin Oo as the Minister for Economic Affairs, U Tin Thein as the Minister for Natural Resources, U Myo Aung as the Minister for Social Affairs, U Tin Swe as the Minister for Transport, and U Saw Lin Aung as Minister for Ethnic Affairs, and the Mon State Government has assigned U Aung Kyi Thein as Chief Minister, Colonel Kyaw Swar Myint as Minister for Border Affairs, Nai Lai Ta Ma aka Naing Khin Maung Zin as Minister for Economic Affairs, Dr. Aung Myat Kyaw Sein as Minister for Natural Resources, U Tin San Naing as Minister for Transport, and U Khin Maung Oo as Minister for Ethnic Affairs.
In addition, U Htein Lin has been appointed as Chief Minister for the Chin State Government, Colonel Kyaw Thura as Minister for Security and Border Affairs, U San Shwe Maung as Minister for Economic Affairs, U Thet Htun as Minister for Social Affairs, U Aung Kyaw Moe as Minister for Transport, and U Tin Hla as Minister for Ethnic Affairs, and U Tin Maung Win as Chief Minister for the Ayeyawady Region Government, Colonel Khant Mon Swe as Minister for Security and Border Affairs, U Ohn Myint as Minister for Natural Resources, U Khin Maung Kyi as Minister for Social Affairs, and U Saw Lin Khae as Minister for Ethnic Affairs.
