All construction work on the Myanmar-Korea Friendship (Dala) Bridge project is being carried out with the goal of completion by the end of December, according to sources.
On June 17, a workshop was held at the Setsan Staff Housing, under the Myanmar Port Authority, to discuss preparatory measures for ensuring navigational safety for vessels passing day and night beneath the Myanmar-Korea Friendship (Dala) Bridge.
The event was attended by Permanent Secretary U Win Khant of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, officials from relevant departments and organizations, subject-matter experts, and invited guests.
To ensure the safe passage of international trade vessels, coastal ships, and riverine boats along the Yangon River, standardized operational procedures and guidelines will be developed. Once finalized, these protocols will be submitted to the relevant ministries and organizations for approval before being widely disseminated and explained to all stakeholders. Additionally, awareness campaigns, strict compliance monitoring, and necessary enforcement measures will be implemented.
These efforts will allow international cargo ships, coastal vessels, and riverboats to safely navigate day and night under the Myanmar-Korea Friendship (Dala) Bridge along the Yangon River route.
The project aims to complete all remaining construction work on the Myanmar-Korea Friendship (Dala) Bridge by the end of December.
