
On the morning of March 19, Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) and Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, visited the Tatmadaw Hospital in Aungban, Shan State (South). He was accompanied by senior Tatmadaw officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, the Eastern Command commander, and other officials.
During his visit, Vice-Senior General Soe Win took the opportunity to comfort Tatmadaw personnel and local people’s militia members who were receiving medical treatment at the hospital. In a meeting with the hospital’s commandant, he was briefed on the healthcare services being provided to these service members, along with other residents, and on the hospital’s needs. The Vice-Senior General provided necessary instructions to address the hospital’s requirements.
He also personally spoke with the injured Tatmadaw members and people’s militia troops, who had sustained injuries while performing their duties related to the defense and security of the State. Vice-Senior General Soe Win inquired about their recovery progress and presented them with foodstuffs.
In addition, Daw Than Than Nwe, the wife of the Vice-Senior General, visited the maternity and child medical wards of the hospital, offering comfort to the patients and distributing foodstuffs.
To show appreciation for the hospital staff, the Vice-Senior General presented gifts and cash awards to the healthcare workers through the relevant officials.
