Gold shops must obtain mineral trading license with 1.5 million kyats fee: YGEA

The Yangon Gold Entrepreneurs Association (YGEA) has announced that a license fee of 1.5 million kyats for three years must be paid to obtain a license for a mineral (gold) trading service.

The license must be obtained at the No.2 Mining Enterprise under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation in Nay Pyi Taw. The gold shop owner must fill in the prescribed forms himself. A license fee of 1.5 million kyats for three years and 31,000 kyats for two gold sales and purchase receipts must be paid to the Myanmar Economic Bank in Nay Pyi Taw. After depositing the money at the bank and presenting the deposit receipt, the license card and two gold sales and purchase receipts will be issued, the YGEA has announced.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation has announced that the deadline for applying for a mineral (gold) trading service license is February 17.

When applying for a gold trading license, gold shops that have branches must also apply for their respective shops.
