Myanmar deports 84 more Indonesians for telecom fraud and other crimes

A total of 84 Indonesian nationals involved in telecom fraud and other criminal activities have been extradited, according to sources.

The government is working with neighboring countries and international organizations to investigate and combat online fraud and criminal activities, and is systematically transferring foreign nationals involved in these activities to their respective countries. On February 27, 84 Indonesian nationals were systematically deported to their respective countries through the No.2 Myanmar-Thailand Friendship Bridge.

The Minister for Security and Border Affairs of the Kayin State Government, Colonel Min Thu Kyaw, and officials supervised the deportation process to ensure that the deportation process was systematic and smooth.

The deportation ceremony was held with the participation of the Minister of Security and Border Affairs of the Kayin State Government, the Director of the Civil Protection and Relief Department of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Judha Nugraha, and the Deputy District Commander of the Immigration Department of the Turk Province of Thailand, Police Lt-Col Sermkiat Kampira and officials attended, and Myanmar officials handed over the documents related to the deportation to the relevant country's officials.

The government is investigating and identifying all those involved in online scams and online gambling, and is continuously taking action through neighboring countries and international organizations, especially the trilateral cooperation between Myanmar, China and Thailand.

In addition, efforts are being made to identify and arrest those involved in online scam center operations and foreign nationals behind them, to take effective action, and to quickly deport foreigners who are suffering for various reasons and foreign nationals, who have been trafficked, to their respective countries.
