The conscription law and regulations cover women for military service, but there is no plan to call up female civil service personnel, said Maj. Gen. Zaw Min Tun, spokesman for the State Administration Council (SAC).

Responding to a question about civil service, Maj. Gen. Zaw Min Tun made the remark about it.

“The conscription law and regulations have already stated the age of women and men. Based on this, it has been found that women are being threatened. In this regard, I want to state clearly that the conscription law and regulations cover women for military service, but there is no plan to call up female civil service personnel,” Maj. Gen. Zaw Min Tun said.

Regarding the conscription law, Maj. Gen. Zaw Min Tun said that since the conscription law and regulations were issued, exile media and terrorist instigators have been working to mislead and scare the public.

Maj. Gen. Zaw Min Tun said, "We have made it possible to read and study the conscription law and regulations extensively. Everyone can read and study them on the Ministry of Defence's website and web portal, the Ministry of Law's website and web portal, the Ministry of Information's website and web portal, Myawady web portal, and Myanmar National Portal."

In addition, inquiries and complaints regarding civil service issues, civil service conscription issues, and fraud can be reported accurately, and if false reports or complaints are made, they will be identified and action will be taken in accordance with existing laws, Maj. Gen. Zaw Min Tun said.

"We have also listed the updated phone numbers there. In this regard, we have also investigated and taken action against frauds by reporting them from there," Maj. Gen. Zaw Min Tun said.

Regarding the exile media's report that women of legal age are being enrolled for militia service, the SAC information team responded on January 29 by saying that women are not yet being enrolled for militia service.
