Authorities seized stimulant drugs worth over 1.4 billion kyats intended for distribution in KTVs, bars, clubs, and entertainment venues in Mandalay Region, according to official sources.
On January 23 at 1:00 PM, a joint team from the Narcotics Control Police raided the house of Phuri Wa (31) in Maha Myaing Ward No.1, Maha Aung Myay Township. The search uncovered three kilograms of the psychoactive drug "Happy Water" in the bedroom.
Further investigations led to the arrest of drug dealer Fu Shee Ram, also known as Ashun (28), at 5:00 PM on the same day at the corner of 42nd Street and 67(A) Street in the same township.
Authorities seized 3.6 kilograms of ketamine, 8.635 kilograms of Happy Water, 40 Ecstasy tablets, 150 Happy-5 tablets, 280 Ecstasy tablets and 5 grams of Ice (methamphetamine).
The total haul included 11.635 kilograms of Happy Water, 3.6 kilograms of ketamine, and other drugs, all valued at over 1.4 billion kyats. These drugs were reportedly intended for distribution in entertainment venues across Mandalay.
Legal action has been taken against the individuals involved, and investigations are ongoing to identify others connected to the drug distribution network.
