Two explosions occurred on December 30 in Sanchaung Township’s Kyuntaw (Middle) Ward, Pyapon Road, causing injuries and property damage.

The first explosion took place around 9:10 a.m. in front of Pan Hlaing Family Clinic on Pyapon Road. The blast damaged two generators, approximately 2.5 feet tall and 4 feet long, as well as two vehicles. A silver-colored Mark II with license plate YGN-… sustained a shattered rear windshield, while a black Crown vehicle with license plate YGN-… suffered a broken rear windshield, left and right tail lights, and a detached rear bumper.

According to Telegram channels, the explosion occurred near the residence of singer Yone Lay, and one of the damaged vehicles was reported to belong to the artist.

The second explosion was reported around 11:30 a.m. near the administrative office of Kyuntaw (Middle) Ward, also on Pyapon Road. Initial reports indicate that three pedestrians near the office sustained minor injuries.

Authorities have not yet released an official statement regarding the incidents.
