Night temperature may decrease in Nay Pyi Taw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago and Yangon Regions and Kachin, Shan and Chin States in the next two days according to the observation made by the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH) today.

Due to the presence of heavy clouds in over the Southwest Bay and presence of moderate cloud in over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal, there will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States till the morning of January 3.

Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

Likelihood of slightly decrease of night temperatures in Nay Pyi Taw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago and Yangon Regions and Kachin, Shan and Chin States within two days.

During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. 

Night temperatures were (2°C) below January average temperature in Southern Shan State and (2°C) above January average temperature in Upper Sagaing Region and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. 

The significant night temperatures were (0°C) in Hakha, (3°C) in Heho, (4°C) each in Kyaukmae, Loilin and Pyinoolwin and (5°C) each in Pinlaung, Tiddim and Mogoke.
