Those who entered the border areas illegally are being transferred to Chinese officials, and from October 31 to December 2, 10,784 Chinese citizens were handed over, according to a press release issued by the information team of the State Administration Council.

The SAC has already announced that the government is paying attention to stability and the rule of law across Myanmar, including border areas. Since some foreign nationals are illegally entering and living in Myanmar by crossing the border, the administrative organizations are conducting necessary checks and handing them back to the relevant countries for further legal action.

"Today, 258 men and 9 women totalling 267 have been transferred. A total of 10,784 people have been transferred. The governments of China and Myanmar as well as two armed forces are closely cooperating. I would like to say that we are cooperating in ensuring border peace and stability, security and law enforcement," said Major General Zaw Min Tun, spokesman for the SAC.

The SAC has also announced that it will continue to carry out the process of screening and repatriation of foreign nationals who have illegally entered and resided in the border areas.
