As numbers of railway passengers decline, the RBE rail operation in the Mawlamyine-Yangon Train Services, has been suspended, according to an unidentified official from Mawlamyine Railway Station.
In the past, the RBE trains were being operated on Wednesdays and Fridays. As the current situation is a rainy season, there is a few train riders. So, the operation of RBE trains will be suspended as of September 11, according to the official.
He also said that No. 81-up train and No.82-down train are operating daily. The air bag and ordinary trains will be departing from Mawlamyine station on 8:30 am daily and will arrive in Yangon Railway Station 6pm.
The RBE train services operate three days per week since January 4. Later, the train had operated two days per week. Now, the service will stop temporarily since September 11.
