One woman was killed and ten people were injured in a traffic accident on Yangon-Mandalay Highway on September 8 according to highway fire services department.

In the afternoon of that day, Shwe Man Thu express vehicle overturned at the milepost 92 on Yangon-Mandalay Highway in Kyauktakha Township, Bago Region.

“The express bus was heading from Yangon to Nay Pyi Taw. A woman was killed on the spot and another five men and five women were injured. The injured were sent to hospital,” said a man from Thukha Waisi social organization. Fire services members, auxiliary fire services members and social organizations went there for rescue works.
