National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) and Myanmar National Truth and Justice Party/ Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNTJP/MNDAA), Palaung State Liberation Front/ Ta’ang National Liberation Army (PSLF/TNLA) and United League of Arakan/ Arakan Army (ULA/AA) met for second day at the Eastern Guest House Hotel in Mongla City, Eastern Shan State on June 2.
On the second day of the meeting, they continued to discuss and negotiate the issues that had not been completed on the first day of the meeting and will meet again at a convenient time for both parties.
In the first day, they discussed about the issue of strengthening the multi-party democratic political system, building a union based on democracy and federalism, the implementation of cooperation for the peace and development of the Union and building trust with ethnic armed groups, the release of detainees, the cancelation of the illegal association and how humanitarian aid can reach the people affected by the Mocha storm as soon as possible.
The committee Chairman Lt. Gen. Yar Pyae, Secretary of the coordination committee Lt. Gen. Win Bo Shein, working committee member Lt. Gen. Khin Zaw Oo (retired), Deputy Commander of the Triangle Region Command Brigadier General Tun Myat Shwe, and departmental officials, representatives from the MNDAA, TNLA and AA, attended.
