The Department of Meteorology and Hydrology announced this morning that a low pressure area may form over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea during next 18 hours.
It is likely to intensify into a Depression around May 9 and then it continues to mover northwards and intensifies into a Cyclonic Storm over the Central Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Andaman Sea around May 10.
The weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few clouds to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
