51 new Covid-19 cases reported in Myanmar on April 24

Myanmar reported 51 new Covid-19 cases during the past 24 hours from 8pm of April 23 to 8pm of April 24 after 8,993 samples had been tested, the Ministry of Health (MOH) reported on the night of April 24.

The positivity rate was 0.57%, and there had been 634,400 cases in the country till 8pm of April 24. A total of 19,490 deaths had been reported since the pandemic outbreak in the country.

Covid-19 samples are tested in labs under the MOH, using GeneXpert machines in hospitals in Nay Pyi Taw Council, all regions and states, at No.1 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Yangon, at No.2 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Nay Pyi Taw, at No.9 100-Bed Military Hospital in Lashio, at private hospitals and labs and using Covid-19 Rapid Antigen Diagnostic Test in hospitals and public health departments in Nay Pyi Taw Council, all regions and states.
