According to the information released by the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control (CCDAC) Myanmar over K880 million worth psychotropic drugs were seized in Tachilek.

A combined force including members of the drug eradication force, acting on tipoff, inspected a vehicle at 9pm on March 3 on Bogyoke road in Sangsai (B) ward, and found Sai Khan Lai and Ma Thet Htet Htar Naing with 7.765 kilos of Happy Water, a psychotropic substance and seized them. Upon further investigation the house in Meikhaung ward, lane 3 which was rented by Ma Ei Ei Phyoe was raided at 9:30pm and seized 200 grams of ecstasy powder, 609 grams of ketamine, 490 tablets of Erimin-5 and other related items worth 880.7765 million kyats. Further investigation was being conducted to those linked with the crime, as per CCDAC Myanmar.
