MAWLAMYAING------ Kyaunggon Ward Administration Office situated in Thanbyuzayat Township, Mon State, was attacked with mine this morning, according to the dwellers from Thanbyuzayat Township.

The mine attack on ward administration office destroyed roofs and partitions of the building.

“We heard a loud voice of a blast this morning. Later, we knew that an explosion occurred at the Ward Administration Office. There was no injury but the building of the office was damaged due to the blast,” said a local from Thanbyuzayat Township.

The security force arrived at the scene after the blast and they conducted the investigations. Moreover, there have been tight securities at the exit and entry of the township.

No one knew which armed groups carried out the mine attack on the office.

Similarly, handmade sound bombs exploded in front of State Immigration Office in Zaygyo ward and administrator’s office in Hlaing Ward of Mawlamyaing Township, Mon State, yesterday night. However, there were no casualty and damages, according to the sources which are close to the police force.
