Authorities plan to set up a sports complex in Kayin to practice various sports and compete at a high level

A sports complex will be set up in Kayin State to enable high-level training and competition in various sports, said Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) on October 17.

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing along with the members accompanying the trip, Kayin State Chief Minister U Saw Myint Oo, commander and officials of the Southeast Regional Military Command inspected the status of the upgrading of Zwe Kapin Stadium in Hpa-an, Kayin State.

At the stadium briefing, the State Chief Minister and the State Social Affairs Minister U Soe Lwin explained the conditions for upgrading the Zwe Kapin Stadium in accordance with the instructions of the Chairman of the State Administration Council, the Prime Minister.

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing said that the stadium must be in line with the state level, and the capacity of the stadium must be considered in the long term, taking into account the population that will increase in the future. He also ordered the construction of a new state-level indoor stadium near the stadium, to submit a target for the construction of a diving pool and the development of the sports sector, the development of a State sports complex where various sports can be trained and competed at a high level, and other necessary things.

The SAC chairman and members inspected the status of the stadium upgrade and made necessary orders based on the officials' presentations.

Then, in the afternoon, SAC chair and members went to the military hospital in Hpa-an to see the military personnel, police force members and border guard personnel who were injured while performing national defense duties and are receiving medical treatment. He inquired and encouraged individually about the health conditions of the military personnel, police force members and border guard personnel, and provided food items.
