380 Covid-19 cases, two deaths reported in Myanmar

Myanmar reported 380 new Covid-19 confirmed cases and two deaths during the past 24-hour period from 8pm September 23 to 8pm September 24, the Ministry of Health (MOH) announced at 8pm news on September 24.

The latest cases were reported after 12,665 lab samples had been tested, and the positivity is 3%.

Until 8pm on September 24 from the start of the pandemic, the number of Covid-19 cases in the country reached 621,124 and the number of deaths 19,455.

In the last 24-hour period, 152 patients were discharged from hospital after their recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 596,698.

Covid-19 lab samples are tested in the labs under the MOH, using GeneXpert machines in hospitals in Nay Pyi Taw, all regions and states, at No.1 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Yangon, at No.2 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Nay Pyi Taw, at No.9 100-Bed Military Hospital in Lashio, at private hospitals and labs and using COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Diagnostic Test in hospitals and public health departments in all regions and states including Nay Pyi Taw.
