U Zaw Oo, 40 years old man from Thabot Seikpyingyi village, Longlon Township was shot to death around 7:00 am on September 17 according to sources.

Assassins came into his house and opened fire to him according to a local.

“Previously, he lived in Kayingyi village. He then moved to this village for working on planation. We didn’t know who carried out the attack,” said a local.

His father, mother, two brothers were also killed by assailants in Inbya village in Yayphyu Township on the evening of June 18 according to locals.

On September 15, a villager from Bawapin village was killed. This year, at least 30 villagers from Dawei, Yayphyu, Longlon, Thayatchaung Townships were killed according to sources.
