According to an official from the communicable diseases department from the Ministry of Health and Sports, there are several private hospitals that did not extend their licenses and after conducting checks, the hospital in question may be shut down if deemed necessary.

"There are many private hospitals that did not extend their license. Checks will be conducted and shut downs may occur because right now, both the public and private health sector must cooperate to safeguard the people's health. The public health department had vaccinated them along with public healthcare staff during the first wave. There were many that came to get vaccinations and many that didn't due to several reasons.

She says that the public health department will continue to provide priority to healthcare sectors.

"We are handling the Covid-1i issue seriously. Don't believe fake news."

The Union Minister for health, during a meeting between the ministry and the private healthcare sector on June 23, had ordered cooperation between the two sectors by pooling together human resources, medicine as well as equipment. He also warned the private sector to not go step over the bounds of rules.
