Homemade bombs exploded in the regional office of the Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) and municipal staff housing in Mandalay on April 28 and 29 respectively, sources said.

The homemade bomb exploded at the USDP office located between 27th and 28th streets and 73rd street in Chanayetharzan Township in Mandalay on the night of April 28 and no casualty is reported.

According to CCTV records, three people riding on a motorcycle threw the homemade bomb.

Another homemade bomb exploded at the municipal staff housing near 36th and 70th streets in Mahaaungmyay Township in the afternoon of April 29 causing a little damage on some nearby flower pots, according to a witness.

Explosions caused by homemade bombs frequently occurred in Mandalay and homemade bombs exploded in the mayor's house and some administrative offices on April 27.
