Myanmar found 1,560 new COVID-19 confirmed patients with 26 more have died, announced the Ministry of Health and Sports (MOHS) on the night of November 19.
A total of 17,954 samples are tested between November 18 and November 19 and found 1,560 confirmed patients, it said.
A total of 869 people were allowed to be discharged from the hospital bringing the total number of people free from the virus to 55,633.
Among the 26 deaths, 21 had underlying chronic medical conditions. Up to 1,676 patients have died from the virus, it said.
It said 969,268 samples were tested till November 19 and found 74,882 patients so far and 55,633 people were recovered from the virus with 1,676 deaths.
A total of 1,679 people, who had close contact with positive patients in Yangon Region and tested negative, are put in home quarantine, it said.
Hospitals in Yangon Region are testing COVID-19 suspects using rapid antigen diagnostic test kits and there are people who lost their sense of smell and taste included, announced the MOHS.
