Myanmar has now 1,306 new cases of COVID-19 and 31 more deaths according to the statement made by the Ministry of Health and Sports on October 20 at 8:00 pm. From October 19 at 8:00 pm to October 20 at 8:00pm, a total of 15329 samples were tested and found new cases of 1,306. 

Among the positive cases, 579 patients were discharged from the hospital and now the total number of people discharged from the hospital reached 18,147. Among the 31 deaths, 28 had previous diseases prior to COVID-19. The total number of deaths is now 945. 

Myanmar has so far conducted 538,086 samples and found 38,502 positive patients while 18,147 people were recovered from the virus and discharged from the hospital with 945 deaths.
