One person from Yangon Region with the record of having travelled to Rakhine State, and 11 confirmed patients in Rakhine State total 12 confirmed COVID-19 cases.

As on 31 Aug. there have been 1000 swab lab tests conducted at the NHL (Yangon), 37 at the Mandalay Public Health lab, 9 at the 100-bed hospital in Naypyidaw, 95 at the Sittwe lab, and 28 at the Kyaukphyu General Hospital lab, totalling 1172. From these tests 12 additional were found to have been affected by COVID-19, as per information given by the Health and Sports Ministry at 8am. 

Till date the confirmed number of COVID-19 patients as per lab tests is 787. The number of deaths remains 6.
