Director-General of Department of Basic Education Ko Lay Win said that due to COVID-19, results of basic education level exams will be announced in early May. 

Normally, it has arranged to publish on April 26 but to abide by the instructions laid down by the government, it has postponed May. The government has prohibited gathering of people to control the spread of COVID-19.

“Checking the test papers of primary, middle and high school level apartment from matriculation will be carried out only in the early month of May and later results will be issued. The results of matriculation standard will be a little late, too,” said Ko Lay, Win, Director-General of Department of Basic Education.

Due to COVID-19, Basic Education Higher Department’s exams were postponed. In entire Myanmar, there are 9.1 million students attending the Basic Education level according to the Department of Education.
