Authorities have ordered to revoke visas of 120 Chinese citizens following the complaint that they were collectively living in two houses in Thingangyun Township and grossly exceeding the acceptable number of dwellers. 

They will continue to be kept in their houses for 14 days, action will be taken against them if they have violated the law. 

The Chinese people living two houses in Panwa and Hninsi streets in Thuwunna, Thingangyun Township were summoned by Minister for Immigration and Human Resources Moe Moe Su Kyi at the East District Immigration and Population for questioning on March 22. 

“Their visas have been revoked and legal action will be taken against them if they have violated the law. Security guards will be there to watch them for 14 days. Checks will be conducted every day. The total of them living in both houses is 120,” said Region MP Shwe Hla Win for Thingangyun Township. 

Authorities came to check the two houses at about 9 pm on March 21 after the neighbors sent to complaints to authorities that those houses accommodated the exceeded number of people.
