Shwe Thonelone carton box factory in ChaungU Township, Monywa District, Sagaing Region, will be closed for 10 days, and two Chinese citizens working at the factory will be isolated and monitored for their health conditions, according to the ChaungU Township Youth Network.

Over 30 workers have been asked to halt working temporarily.

“Two Chinese citizens were working at the factory. On March 19, authorities conducted health checks on the two Chinese. Our civil society organizations held a meeting today about their quarantine. The answer is that we will be watching them at this factory by putting them in isolation. The factory will close for 10 days. The workers have been asked to suspend their work but they will be paid,” said Marn Zar Myay Mon of the network.

The two Chinese men were already working at the factory. On March 18, they went back to China for visa renewal and arrived back on March 19.
