A ceremony to mark the donation of 15 million gallons of water by Eleven Media Group (EMG) and well-wishers in five years, took place in Myaing Township in Magway Region on 14 March.
It was attended by Ko Min Thaw Htut, Executive Director of Eleven Media Group and Ma Nang Lang Kham, Chair of Brighter Future Myanmar Foundation and Deputy CEO of Kanbawza Bank.
On March 14, Eleven Media Group and well-wishers donated 7,500 gallons of water in two villages in NyaungU Township and 7,500 gallons of water in two villages in Myaing Township, with the use of two water bowers donated by the Brighter Future Myanmar Foundation.
These villages are facing water shortages as water lakes have run dry.
Eleven Media Group and well-wishers donated four million gallons of water in 2016, three million gallons in 2017, two million gallons in 2018 and nearly six million gallons at villages in Pakokku, Myaing, Yesagyo, Pauk and NyaungU Townships in 2019.
Brighter Future Myanmar Foundation, one of the largest philanthropic foundations in Myanmar, donated a 4,000-gallon water bowser in 2016 and a 3,000-gallon water bowser in 2019 to the Eleven Media Group to help support water donation in the arid zone in Myanmar.
In addition, Eleven Media Group and well-wishers donated money for digging 19 tube wells in Magway, Sidoktaya,, Taungdwinggyi, Minbu, Chauk, Pakokku, Myaing and NyaungU Townships.
