A footballer has died after collapsing while resting on the sidelines following a substitution at the 400-metre sports stadium in Mudon Township, Mon State, on October 20.

The incident occurred at around 6 pm after a match between Myoma (1) FC and Kwan Hlar FC. The player, identified as Ko Thar Gyi, wearing jersey No. 21 for Myoma (1) FC, reportedly lost consciousness while resting beside the pitch after being substituted, according to a local resident.
