There will be political instability if revenge and hatred exist in politics, and there will also be difficulty ensuring security and peace so long as armed struggle line exists, said Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
The military chief made the remarks during his separate meetings with officers, other ranks and families of local unit headquarters at Tiddim of Kyeegon Station, Kalay and Haka Station of the North-West Command on March 10, the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services reported.
Peace and stability is the main requirement of the nation’s political and security sectors. Moreover, economic stability is also required, he pointed out.
“As every country establishes a military systematically for national defence, all should continuously strive for the Tatmadaw (military) to be imbued with the three capabilities, and to become a reliable force for the people and the country. All should properly undergo individual and group-wise training as they will not be able to do their duties well at a battle field if they are not fully fit,” he said.
The military chief called on all the regions across the country to try for their own regional development and the improvement of skill, knowledge and socio-economy. He said China State has more opportunities for development as there is no armed conflict.
Also present at the meetings were the wife of the military chief, the Commander- in-Chief (Navy), the Commander-in-Chief (Air) and senior military officers from the Office of the Commanderin- Chief (Army).
