National Health Laboratory (Yangon) started lab tests on the samples of those who are under investigation of the coronavirus on February 20, and there were 11 patients under investigation of the virus until that morning, according to the Ministry of Health and Sports. 

On the morning of February 20, a reply came from the reference laboratory that eight patients tested negative. They were a 24-year-old man from Mandalay General Hospital, a 17-year-old girl from Lashio People’s Hospital, a 38-year-old man from Taungtha Township Hospital, an 18-year-old man and 34-year-old man from Myittha Township Hospital, a 38-year-old man and a 49-year-old man from Waibargi Hospital and a 40-year-old man from Lashio Hospital. 

There are still 11 patients being watched at some hospitals for suspicious symptoms. 

According to the figures from the World Health Organization available on February 20 morning, there were 75,204 confirmed cases across the globe. The number included 62 in Hong Kong, 10 in Macao and 23 in Taiwan outside mainland China. A total of 2006 people had died. 

The coronavirus has spread to 25 countries beyond China. There were 924 confirmed cases in those countries.
