Coronavirus screening process are made at 15 jetties in Moei River in Myanmar-Thailand border, the sources said.
Officials from border guard forces and health staffs from Myawady Hospital are making the screening process.
“We are checking up on people at No.1 and No.2 Friendship bridges using thermal meters since five days ago. It is the same with jetties in Moei River. If we found people with high fever, we will send them to the hospital,” said Dr Yan Naing Oo, Medical Superintendent of Myawady District Hospital.
Ten of thousands of commuters are going through jetties in Moei River daily and in some jetties, Chinese citizens are entered Myanmar via Thailand.
