Yangon Region Transport Authority (YRTA) had introduced Yangon circular service utilizing Scania buses from September 23, sources said.
Buses come with three doors, wheelchair access and installed with a bus stop announcement system.
Although they have little passengers, the passengers liked the system installed on the buses.
“The buses have installed hydraulic system and I am thinking about riding on the bus on the weekend,” said a passenger.
The buses from route number 1 will be run from the Aungmingala Highway Bus Terminal to No.3 highway road, Chaute Kway, Thudama road, Parami traffic lights, Parami road, Bailey Htake, Thanthumar road, San Pya market, Union flyover, Thanthumar (Thuwanna), Kyetbae market, Thamainbayan, Upper Pazuntaung road, 51st street, Bothahtaung Pagoda, Strand Road, Bayintnaung junction, Thamine Buthayone street, Kyaikwine Pagoda road, 8-mile, Kabaraye Pagoda Road, Nawaday and Oatponesatekan and ended at the Aungmingala Highway Bus Terminal.
