Till August this year, the total citizen investments reached Ks over 19,155 billion, according to the figures from Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC).
The MIC allowed 1,617 citizen investments in 11 sectors.
The citizen investment at the housing development sector amounted to Ks 4308.717 billion, Ks 3468.331 billion in the production sector, Ks 2884.501 billion in the transportation sector, Ks 1992.798 billion in the hotels and tourism sector, Ks 1075.183 billion in the construction sector, Ks 899.828 billion in the industrial development sector, Ks 676.196 billion in the energy sector, Ks 365.587 billion in livestock and fishery sector, Ks 197.091 billion in the mining sector, Ks 53.034 billion in the agricultural sector and Ks 3233.946 billion in other sector.
In 2015-2016 Fiscal Year, the total citizen investments reached over Ks 11,624 billion. During three years and five months since the current government taking office, the total citizen investments amounted to Ks around 7,531 billion.
Since January, 2017, the housing development sector has topped the list of citizen investments after surpassing the production sector.
