The YRTA will run 20 Scania buses to provide the Yangon circular service from September 23, said Hla Aung, the Joint Secretary of the Yangon Region Transport Authority (YRTA) in a press conference held at the office of the YRTA on September 18.

The circular route will run from Aungmingala to Thanthumar-Botahtaung-Kyimyindine and end at the Aungmingala terminal. The bus fare is pegged at Ks500 for a single trip from Aungmingala to ThakhinMya Park and the are for a round trip has been fixed at Ks1,000.

“It will run with a fleet of 20 Scania buses from the Aungmingala Highway Bus Terminal starting from September 23. There will be two routes for the circular services,” he said.

The YRTA is also observing the route to fulfill the public’s needs and will run the service with full capacity using 39 buses during October.

The buses have three doors and they have wheelchair access. They have been installed with a system which can announce the name of bus stops.

The buses from route number 1 will be run from the Aungmingala Highway Bus Terminal to No.3 highway road, Chaute Kway, Thudama road, Parami traffic lights, Parami road, Bailey Htake, Thanthumar road, San Pya market, Union flyover, Thanthumar (Thuwanna), Kyetbae market, Thamainbayan, Upper Pazuntaung road, 51st street, Bothahtaung Pagoda, Strand Road, Bayintnaung junction, Thamine Buthayone street, Kyaikwine Pagoda road, 8-mile, Kabaraye Pagoda Road, Nawaday and Oatponesatekan and ended at the Aungmingala Highway Bus Terminal. 

The buses from route number 2 will be run from the Aungmingala Highway Bus Terminal to No.3 highway road,  Thudama road, Oatponesatekan, Nawaday, Kabaraye Pagoda Road, 8-mile, Kyaikwine Pagoda road, Thamine junction, Thamine Buthayone street, Bayintnaung junction, Strand Road, Bothahtaung Pagoda, 51st street, Upper Pazuntaung road, Thamainbayan, Kyetbae market, Thanthumar (Thuwanna), Union flyover, Bailey Htake and Chaute Kway and ended at the Aungmingala Highway Bus Terminal.
