An official from Waibargi Hospital confirmed that a 25-year old man who came back from South Korea on February 23, has not been infected with COVID-19 virus.

He only came to the hospital as he was worried that he was infected with the virus.

“It is not true that he is not infected with the COVID-19 virus. He came back from South Korea and is now admitted to the hospital as an outpatient,” said the official.

Dr Khin Khin Gyi, deputy director of Central Disease Control Center (Branch) under the Public Health Department also confirmed that he is not infected with the COVID-19. 

The OmniFocus bus company, operator of the Sule-Airport shuttle, announced that airport officials and healthcare staffs wearing protective suits arrived to check an unnamed passenger, who is waiting to go to Yangon General Hospital and they told the bus driver that he is a suspect of COVID-19 virus. They took him to the hospital by ambulance.

It said the healthcare staffs also disinfected the bus using antibacterial spray.
