Two ward administrators from Thantaung Township, Kayin State and Sagaing Region were shot dead, according to the local sources.

When U Tint Swe, 51-year-old, at his house in Bawkali town of Thantaung Township, Kayin State on September 22, an unidentified armed group arrived at the house and kidnapped him.

On arrival at the jungle near Yaythoe Gyi village, U Tin Swe was shot and killed by the group.

Similarly, ward administrator U Than Nyan Win, 41-year-old, was sitting in front of his house situated in Sakyin village in Sagaing Region on the morning of September 22.

Meanwhile, five of PDF members arrived at the house on their motorbikes and they shot U Than Nyan Win, who was wounded in his head and died on the spot.

The relevant security forces are now trying to arrest those culprits who had killed the administrative bodies and to take actions against them in accordance with the law.
