Yangon—Two new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported on 22 April, taking the total number of cases to 123, according to the statement by the Ministry of Health and Sports.
On 22 April, the National Health Laboratory in Yangon conducted 180 lab tests in the first batch. Two persons tested positive for the virus.
The 28-year-old patient (Case-122) from Thaketa Township with no travel history is linked to the Case-84.
The 18-year-old patient (Case-123) from Insein Township with no travel history is linked to the Case-108.
Three patients are under intensive care and the remaining 106 patients are in stable condition.
So far, nine patients have been allowed to discharge from the hospitals. There have been five deaths from COVID-19.
Till 12 pm on 22 April, there are 121 new persons under investigation (PUI).
