TNLA hopes for clashes to end through mutual ceasefires

YANGON- The Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) yesterday announced that they hope for ending ongoing conflicts through mutual ceasefire in 2020.

Moreover, the statement also reported that the Tatmadaw[army] is needed to implement the way of peace development.

The announcement was issued to mark the 57th Ta’ang National Revolution Day, which falls on January 12th.

Three Alliance ethnic armed groups including TNLA extended unilateral ceasefire to two months period. So, they would carry out the tasks not to occur the fighting, according to the announcement.  

The TNLA’s announcement said that they saluted the fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives for building of Federal Union.

The TNLA is now striving for political and military activities by laying down the projects. Moreover, they honored the Palaung nationals, political organizations, community-based organizations and alliance groups living from Pa-laung Self-Administered Zone with their efforts, according to the announcement.
