Yangon--A 26-year-old man who returned from England, tested positive for the COVID-19, according to a statement by the Ministry of Health and Sports on 25 March.
The patient arrived back in Yangon via Suvarnabhumi Airport in Thailand on 21 March.
On 23 March, he felt sick and had a cough. Since then, he has been put in isolation at Insein People’s Hospital in Yangon. Now the patient is getting better.
This is the third confirmed case following the first two cases detected in the two returnees from the UK and the U.S.
All persons who had close contacts with the patient will be put in quarantine, according to the Ministry.
