The National Defence and Security Council reappoint Chief Justice and Judges of the Supreme Court of the Union and Chair and Members of the Constitutional Tribunal of the Union

The National Defence and Security Council issued  statements on reappointing of Chief Justice and Judges of the Supreme Court of the Union and Chair and Members of the Constitutional Tribunal of the Union on July 31.

The National Defence and Security Council, under Subsection (b) of Section 427 of the Constitution of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, has reappointed the Union Chief Justice and the Judges of the Supreme Court of the Union, who were previously appointed by the State Administration Council under Section 419 of the Constitution, to continue in their respective positions.

Similarly, the  National Defence and Security Council has reappointed the Chair and Members of the Constitutional Tribunal of the Union, who were previously appointed by the State Administration Council under Section 419 of the Constitution, to continue in their respective positions under Subsection (b) of Section 427 of the Constitution of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

The National Defense and Security Council announced that the Chief Justice of the Region or State, the Judges of the High Court of the Region or State, and the Attorney General of the Region or State, who were appointed by the State Executive Council under Article 419 of the Constitution, will continue to be appointed under Article 427, Sub-section (b) of the Constitution of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
