YANGON------Sule Shangri-La group shed its hotel employees as the Coronavirus pandemic continues to hammer its hotel business, an unidentified officer from the hotel told the Daily Eleven on December 22nd .

However, the group will be helping in the job seeking plan for the staff.

The Hotel officer didn’t say how many employees shed. It was the privacy of the hotel staff.

The COVID-19 pandemic has slammed Sule Shangri-La’s hotel business. So, the hotel firstly laid down the Cost Management plans to reduce the salary of the staff and to suspend job offerings. The hotel is fulfilling the salaries as the relevant posts within eight months ago. Nevertheless, the hotel has been forced to impact on its hotel business.

Hotel will be creating job opportunities for its lay-off staff. Moreover, they presented compensations to the staff in accordance with the government’s rules and regulations.
