Heavy rains occurred in Yangon Region due to the storm and floods occurred in some townships, according to some Yangon residents.

The rain started at around 2:00 pm on October 24 only lasted for almost an hour, but it was heavy that it caused flooding.

Similarly, a person who arrived at the Waizayanthar Road said that traffic was blocked due to flooding on the road.

"There is water on the Waizayanthar road after Thuwanna traffic lights. From there, the cars had to go slowly. The cars also jammed," said a witness.

The rain poured down in South Oakkalapa, Thaketa, Tamwe, Mingala Taungnyunt, Mayangone and North Dagon, and in some places the water overflowed the road.

"It's raining a lot although the rain didn’t last for long," said a resident of Mayangone Township.
