NAYPYITAW------The State Peace Talks Team (SPTT) yesterday met with the delegation led by vice-chairman of New Mon State Party (NMSP) at National Solidarity and Peacemaking Centre in Nay Pyi Taw, according to the sources.  

Member of State Administration Council (SAC), Union Minister at the Government Office, Chairman of National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee (NSPNC), Peace Talks Team leader Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and SAC members Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun, NSPNC’s secretary Lt-Gen Min Naung and NMSP’s Vice-Chairman Nai Aung Min, NMSP’s Joint General Secretary Nai Win Hla and Central Executive Committee member Nai Banyar Lei attended the meeting.

On the occasion, SPTT Leader Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and NMSP’s Vice-Chairman Nai Aung Min extended greetings.

Later, the participants discussed the list of Union Legislation-Table 1 and the list of the Region and State Legislation-Table 2 in the 2008 Constitution which remains to be discussed, and the findings on the agreements included in Parts I, II and III of the Union Accord whether they comply with the 2008 Constitution and the existing laws.

After the attendees exchanged their views and opinions, the fist-day meeting was adjourned. The second-day meeting will be held on November 10th.
