State Peace Talk Team met separately with the Karen National Liberation Army (Peace Council) KNU/KNLA (PC) led by DKBA Chief-of-Staff Saw Steel, and the Democratic Karen Benevolent Army-DKBA delegations led by Vice-Chair Dr Naw Kapaw Htoo at the meeting hall of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Centre in Nay Pyi Taw on September 17 according to a statement issued by the SAC Information Team.
At the meeting, they discussed implementations being made from the agreements reached in first meeting, requirements to be fulfilled, and regional matters. They later held third day meeting at the meeting hall of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Centre.
The meeting was attended by SAC Member Union Minister at the Union Government Office Chairman of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee Leader of the State Peace Talks Team Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and members: SAC Member Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun, NSPNC Secretary Lt-Gen Min Naung and DKBA Chief-of-Staff Saw Steel, Adjutant-General Saw Sein Win, KNU/KNLA (PC) Vice-Chair Dr Naw Kapaw Htoo and General Secretary Saw Kyaw Nyunt.
They discussed agreements reached from the three-day meeting and then signed the agreements.
On behalf of the ethnic armed forces delegation, DKBA Chief-of-Staff Saw Steel and Negotiation Committee Leader of the State Peace Talks Team Lt-Gen Yar Pyae delivered closing speeches.
