Some 60 AA members attack Tatmadaw military column in west of Yoetayoke village

Some soldiers from Tatmadaw military column passing beside Aung Myat Kyaw village, at the distance of 5 miles in the west of Yoetayoke village in Ponnakyun Township in Rakhine State sustained injuries in the surprise attack launched by 60 AA members on November 2.

“Aung Myat Kyaw village is at the distance of 5 miles in the west of Yoetayoke village in Ponnakyun Township in Rakhine State. Our military column is passing beside this village. At that time, some AA 60 members came out of the village and launched an attack. Some of our servicemen suffered minor injuries. No villagers sustained injuries,” said Brig-Gen Zaw Min Tun, Secretary of Tatmadaw True News Information Team.

The insurgents [under scrutiny] attacked a vehicle carrying cattle with official documents in Kyaukme in northern Shan State by using small weapons. The driver was dead and other two were wounded, said Brig-Gen Zaw Min Tun.

The driver was dead and other two were wounded. The injured were rushed to the hospital by Tatmadaw. The company name is Pale Shwe Wah. It may not be from Tatkon. The vehicle is going to Muse,” said Brig-Gen Zaw Min Tun.

The incident killed the driver and injured two helpers of the driver. Out of 20 cattle, five were dead and one was wounded.
