Service wires inside Mytel telecom tower in Tada-U Township, Mandalay Region are set fire around 2 am on September 23, sources said.

The incident took place near Myay Ngu Village, Myay Ngu Village Tract in Tada-U Township. The lock of the Mytel telecom tower fence was smashed and the service wires inside the telecom tower were set fire around 2 am.

The cost of the loss of service wires is still being calculated and Mytel's maintenance team is repairing the damaged wires to restore the connection.

"The lock was smashed and the service wires were burnt using gasoline. It was not known until 6 am," said a local.

A MPT telecom tower near Myinthe Village, Myinthe Village Tract, Tada-U Township, Mandalay Region was blown up around 11 am on September 22.
