The State Administration Council (SAC) issued an order on August 3 that the Union Government has been reshuffled and formed according to Article 419 of the Constitution in order to implement the five-point road map and 12 objectives set forth faster and more efficiently.
In the government, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing is acted as the Prime Minister of the newly formed Union Government, Vice-Senior General Soe Win as Deputy Prime Minister, Admiral Tin Aung San as Union Minister for Defence, General Mya Tun Oo as Union Minister for Transport and Communications, U Win Shein as Union Minister for Planning and Finance and U Than Swe as Union Minister for Foreign Affairs.
In the cabinet reshuffle, the Union Ministers for the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Transport and Communications have been reassigned.
Previously, General Mya Tun Oo was appointed as Union Minister for Defence, but now Admiral Tin Aung San has been assigned the position.
Union Minister for Transport and Communications General Tin Aung San was replaced by Union Minister of Defence General Mya Tun Oo.
In the reorganized Union Government, there was a change in the position of the Union Minister for Home Affairs, and Lt. Gen. Yar Pyae became the Union Minister for Home Affairs, and the former Union Minister for Home Affairs, Lt. Gen. Soe Htut, was transferred to the position of the Union Minister for the Union Cabinet Office (1).
Similarly, U Tin Oo Lwin was appointed as Union Minister for Religion and Culture in the place of U Ko Ko.
Dr. Soe Win was appointed as the Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, and Dr. Thet Thet Khaing, a former Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, was appointed as the Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism.
In addition, U Nyan Tun was appointed in the place of U Thaung Han as the Union Minister for Electric Power.
